Responsibilities Position is in an ambulatory surgery center operating room setting Patient population includes surgical patients over 8 years old Day shift, Monday through Friday from 7 : 00AM to 5 : 30PM Work schedule consists of 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week Use of EPIC EMR is required Primary responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of perioperative nursing care Participate in the time out process and establish IVs for patients over 8 years old Must accurately document patient data in EPIC and communicate with the healthcare team Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed per 13-week contract Return assignments are not permitted within 6 months of completing a one-year assignment at this healthcare system No travel partners accepted for this assignment Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of one year of relevant operating room nursing experience Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required EPIC charting experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-631258.
