Job Description
Clayton is a vertically integrated housing company that builds, sells, and insures affordable housing. We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support the EHS Environmental functions of the facility.
The EHS Coordinator is accountable for managing the ISO program, implementing and ensuring EHS compliance with local, state, and federal safety / environmental regulations, and supporting required training for safety and environmental programs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop environmental procedures and schedule EMS Committee meetings
- Conduct internal audits, management reviews, and third-party audits
- Track required data to graph and monitor trends related to ISO objectives and targets
- Create and update ISO communication media
- Implement and train team on waste segregation and coordinate universal and hazardous waste disposal
- Maintain environmental compliance events / audits and document control
- Ensure regulatory compliance of all local, state, and federal laws
EHS Duties :
Administer basic first aid to Team Members as neededTransport and accompany injured Team Members to medical facilities when neededParticipate in the incident investigation processPerform Hazard Walks of the facility and identify hazards and non-conformancesEnforce EHS policies and educate team members on best practices and SOPsQualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredA.S. degree in health & safety or environmental is a plusOSHA 10 or 30 for general / construction industry is a plusBasic knowledge of ISO 14001 is a plusSelf-motivated and self-starting with ability to work independentlyAnalytical Thinker and problem solverClayton is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
