Engagement : Open-ended Contract | Immediate Start

Location : Hybrid – In Office in Chicago (3 days per week)

How You’ll Drive Impact

As Senior Director, Finance , you’ll be responsible for stabilizing and leading the month-end close across U.S. and Canadian entities while assessing and improving financial processes. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that drive clarity and accountability across teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and oversee the month-end close process across multiple entities (U.S. & Canada) with precision and urgency.

Assess current accounting workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvement plans that strengthen controls and streamline operations.

Partner closely with offshore accounting teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment.

Deliver financial insights and recommendations clearly and confidently to senior leadership.

Build trust across finance and business teams through transparency, accountability, and operational excellence.

Support audit readiness and compliance requirements across all entities.

About You

You’re a strategic and execution-focused finance leader who thrives in fast-moving environments. You balance technical precision with clear communication and can quickly bring structure, clarity, and confidence to complex finance operations.

Qualifications :

Immediate or near-immediate availability for a contract engagement.

Proven experience leading multi-entity month-end close processes across U.S. and Canadian operations.

Strong understanding of regional accounting standards and compliance frameworks.

CPA or CA required; tax advisory experience preferred.

Big 4 or audit background highly preferred.

Experience managing or partnering with offshore teams.

Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.

Ability to start quickly and operate with minimal ramp-up.
