Position Summary
Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of the Accounts Payable Coordinator position. The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for accounts payable for The Friendly Senior Living Continuum.
Essential Job Functions :
- Processes all accounts payable invoices and check requests to ensure timely payment.
- Matches invoices with purchase order and receiving ticket. Verifies terms, pricing, quantities and extensions on invoices. Monitors compliance with Friendly Senior Living policies.
- Ensures that accounts payable invoices are correctly entered into the computer and processes checks for payment.
- Enters in capital purchase information into the capital tracking spreadsheets.
- Completes credit applications as needed.
- Prepares IRS Form 1099 annually.
- Makes bank deposits and trips to post office.
- Issues checks from the Member's Fund account.
- Manages TFH and Member's Fund petty cash box.
- Prepares gift shop bank deposit, and maintains monthly worksheet of Gift Shop cash.
- Reconciles A / P accounts monthly for the Friendly Senior Living entities
- Manages checks that are outstanding over 90 day
- Prepares analysis and reconciliations of various accounts as required.
- Participates in in-service education and safety programs; may attend meetings or workshops to improve job skills.
- Opens and distributes mail.
- Performs other duties as required.
Expectations of the Position :
Dependable, report to work on-time for every schedule shift (ready to work at beginning - start of shift) and work full schedule shifts unless physically unable or pre-approved Paid Time Off (PTO) which includes personal and vacation.Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as required by the position and / or approved by management.Have reliable transportation to and from work.Must be clean and neat in appearance and have a "friendly" service-oriented personality.Abide by work-related / job procedures and organization policies; (refer to the Employee Handbook).Qualifications of the Position :
Education : High school diploma; post high school courses and / or experience in bookkeeping and general office procedures desirable.Experience : Experience with computers and accounting software preferred.Skills : Microsoft officeConditions of Employment :
