The Departments of Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Anesthesia at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) seek to appoint a Director of Stem Cell Research and Neuroregeneration, for an institutional level multidisciplinary initiative.
The appointee will develop and lead a world-class research program, establish the BIDMC Stem Cell Research and Neuroregeneration medicine core, teach and mentor at the graduate and post-doctoral levels, and meet requirements for appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level at Harvard Medical School.

Basic Qualifications : MD or PhD degree, with post-doctoral research training in any field related to neuroscientific regenerative medicine and sensitive.
Specific Qualifications : Demonstrated extraordinary commitment to teaching, mentoring, and translational research in Neuroregeneration and Stem Cell Research is required.
Candidates must show evidence of intellectual leadership and high scholarly impact in their field, and show potential for significant contributions to BIDMC, Harvard Medical School, and the wider scholarly community.
The Candidate must demonstrate longstanding NIH and other federal and / or private or industry support. Applicants must demonstrate strong administrative experience and past leadership running multidisciplinary research groups, engagement in the technology venture process, and have knowledge of the management of clinical trials.
Finally, applicants should also have a strong dedication to mentoring and fostering career development.
