About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Valid state nursing license required

Must-Have : Telemetry experience is essential.

Description :

Client auto deducts the applicable state tax.

A clinical profile review will take place, and the manager will call for the interview.

Travelers may be required to float to various facilities.

There is an additional pay incentive when floating to facilities that are not the primary.

The unit has 38 beds with a patient ratio of 1 : 4-5.

Nurses are required to titrate certain medications.

Common titratable drips include Nitro and Insulin.

Charge nurses are present on every shift.

The unit generally has a ratio of 1 nurse to 9-10 patients.

The equipment available includes nasal cannula, CPAP, and BiPAP.

RNs must be trained to read telemetry strips and will sign off on strip interpretations.

Shift hours are from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM with a variation of self-scheduling.

There is a weekend and holiday rotation with permanent staff.

Nurses may float to higher acuity areas as needed.

Professional scrubs of any color are allowed.

Orientation involves meeting with the unit educator along with a full shift of orientation.

Experience with the electronic medical record system is preferred.

The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment.

The charting system used is an electronic medical record system.

A Bachelor's degree in nursing is not required.

A valid nursing license is required for submission.

The role is set in an acute care environment.

This position requires a strong nursing background with a focus on medical-surgical and telemetry care.
