Job Description

Start date and work schedule are ASAP, with work available Monday through Sunday. Hours will vary depending on seasonal demand and weather, potentially up to 20-40 hours per week. This includes weekend and evening work.

Examples of Duties

Various maintenance tasks on parks facilities including mowing, weed whipping, athletic field preparation, maintenance of landscape beds, special event setup and operation, painting, trash pickup, and cleaning of buildings and sites. May extend work through winter months for snow removal. Work involves working outside in all weather conditions. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Typical Qualifications

Previous work experience in athletic field preparation, parks, landscaping, mowing, snow removal, or janitorial is desired, but not required. Special skills and training include having a valid Michigan Driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships with the public and other employees. Must be able to understand and follow oral instructions. A pesticide license and CDL are desired, but not required.

Education : Must be at least 18 years old. High School graduate or equivalent, preferred.
