The Role

As a Process Engineer, your role will involve analyzing operational processes to design, develop, test, and continuously improve high-quality self-service software products known as Workflows. You will collaborate with the SPSE organization to understand business models and generate technical requirements for our programs. Working alongside product managers, software engineers, and program managers on medium to large-scale projects will be part of your daily activities. You will also take charge of process engineering tasks to optimize the product development lifecycle for Workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program and business stakeholders to document requirements and create functional specifications.
• Design, develop, test, launch, and enhance automated self-service software products (Workflows).
• Become a subject matter expert in Amazon's internal process maps and workflow authoring tools.
• Work with software development teams to automate manual processes effectively.
• Author content using various markup languages including Mustache, Markdown, HTML, and CSS.
• Deep dive into technical product or operational issues to uncover root causes and suggest scalable solutions.

Compensation for this role varies across geographic markets. The base pay ranges from $81,600 per year in lower geographic markets to $205,100 per year in higher markets, with additional compensation components possible based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
