Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, whose mission is to design, build, and test prototype systems for future consumer VR and AR experiences. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience in driving development of Client manufacturing processes from concept to pilot-production to deliver reliable, high performance hardware prototypes. The development of state-of-the-art processes and prototypes will require the intersection of Client materials, mechanical, electrical, and software fields. The successful candidate will possess experience with a wide variety of manufacturing processes, be comfortable driving a team of engineers to rapidly develop and scale Client manufacturing processes and could work with a team of researchers with tolerance for a high degree of ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Drive Manufacturing Engineering team, system integration activities, and DFx in a cross-functional work environment to deliver reliable, high performance hardware prototypes
• Scale state-of-the-art hardware prototypes from concept to pilot-production volumes
• Grow in-house manufacturing capabilities and manage external manufacturing partnerships
• Raise the bar for manufacturing excellence and best practices by developing, and continuously improving, processes and relationships which empower researchers and design engineers to build increasingly complex systems

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is : $80.00 - $96.30 / hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
