Overview

Process Engineer V role at Jobs via Dice. BCforward is the client. Onsite in Redmond, WA.

Responsibilities

Drive Manufacturing Engineering team, system integration activities, and DFx in a cross-functional environment to deliver reliable, high performance hardware prototypes
Scale state-of-the-art hardware prototypes from concept to pilot-production volumes
Grow in-house manufacturing capabilities and manage external manufacturing partnerships
Raise the bar for manufacturing excellence by developing and continuously improving processes and relationships which empower researchers and design engineers to build increasingly complex systems

Required Qualifications

BS / MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related area, or equivalent work experience

5+ years of experience scaling processes to pilot-production or mass manufacture, and implementing quality control procedures

Experience with manufacturing techniques for soft wearable devices, including textiles, polymer processing, electromechanical integration, lamination, and adhesive bonding

Experience designing and implementing process development plans, design of experiments (DOE), establishing critical process parameters and quality control strategies

Project management skills with experience directing priorities to a cross-functional team to meet milestones

Desired Qualifications

8+ years working on high-volume consumer products

Experience with design and / or production of wearable technologies

Experience with mass production of systems requiring multiple manufacturing processes (soft goods cutting, laminating, kitting; active optical alignment, casting, molding, machining, electronics packaging, coatings, additive manufacturing)

Experience in design for manufacturing, assembly, or reliability

Experience with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks)
