Laboratory Assistant

We are growing our team! Come join Neogen as a Laboratory Assistant in our Sample Reception department. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will assist our team in various tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our laboratory.
This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Working Hours : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Tracking all incoming samples and supplies.
- Opening, sorting and delivering mail and packages.
- Sample preparation and labeling for downstream processing.
- Data Entry and organizing of samples
- Multi task several projects, adjust to changing priorities
- Assist with supply receipt, documentation, cataloging and maintaining of inventories.
- Assist in maintaining the laboratory by performing preventive maintenance and assuring a clean and safe environment.
- Meets individual and departmental goals and objectives.
Education and / or Experience : High School Diploma or Equivalent; some additional higher education or concurrent pursuit of an Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing and Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software.
