VP Senior Derivatives Counsel

The client is seeking a VP, Senior Derivatives Counsel with a hybrid schedule, offering a fast track opportunity for growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on equity derivatives products and transactions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies. They will work closely with various business units to support equity derivatives activities, handle complex legal issues, and stay informed on legal, regulatory, and market developments. The role also involves drafting and negotiating agreements, providing risk mitigation strategies, and assisting with regulatory filings.

The ideal candidate will have a JD from a US ABA accredited law school and at least 4 years of experience supporting equity derivatives desks. Experience at an AmLaw 50 firm is preferred. They should have expertise in legal and regulatory aspects of equity derivatives products, a solid understanding of global financial regulations, and experience with drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
