Job Description
Position Summary : Responsible to be point person for all customer service needs for Phase I patients including but not limited to scheduling all PH1 Clinic and PH1 Infusion appointments (New Patient, Return Patient New Provider and Return Patient) and appointments for other ambulatory services according to established guidelines and in consultation with members of the PH1 team including but not limited to the PH1 Physicians, PH1 Study Coordinators, PH1 Eligibility Coordinators, the PH1 Infusion Nurses, the PH1 NPP's and PH1 Clinic RNs and ACA's. Establish and maintain successful relationships with staff members in ambulatory services at KCI, DMC and other outside health care facilities. Collect all patient medical history and obtain complete medical record. Interacts with patients / families in a caring and professional manner.
Responsibilities :
- Schedules and reschedules patient appointments for Phase I Clinic and PH1 Infusion Center with physician, NPP's and infusion staff according to scheduling guidelines. Insures that patients received notification / calendar and understands appointment schedule.
- Obtains and updates necessary demographic, referral, provider and insurance related data according to policies and procedures.
- Interviews potential new patients to obtain list of all providers who treated patient and secure complete medical record of all of patient's cancer history including slides and CDs.
- Schedules PH1 study work-up appointments with other ambulatory services including CT scans, eye appointments, and pulmonary evaluations as requested by the Eligibility Coordinator for the study. Notifies and reschedules any associated ambulatory appointments as needed when there are changes in PH1 Clinic or PH1 Infusion schedules.
- Interacts with Administration, PH1 Eligibility Coordinators, PH1 Infusion Center and PH1 Clinic staff to identify and problem solve complex scheduling issues.
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field desired; scheduling experience in healthcare setting strongly preferred.Minimum of 2 years of healthcare customer service experience.Strong interpersonal skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in computer program applications, knowledge, and skills.Company Location :
