Administrative Support Assistant, Compliance

Basic Function Assists in the administration and monitoring of Compliance programs in support of Catalyst Brands business requirements, objectives, and strategies for Domestic and Import Compliance Processes. Interacts with both internal and external clients to provide diversified support. Responsibilities Adheres to internal company policies and ensures our suppliers are following established requirements.
Act in dealing with noncompliance situations, creating realistic plans to overcome them
Conduct regular and ongoing audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations
Daily review and processing of financial data and transactions through supplier offsets and reversals in the compliance application and EDI database.
Review and evaluate supplier provided documentation for their compliance offset dispute
Respond to suppliers inquiries and clearly communicate findings
Communicating with Suppliers and Home Office
Reviews databases and other documentation to compile information
Develops extensive knowledge of assigned function(s) and the interaction and impacts of Compliance to Supply Chain.
Counsels and coordinates with the Team Supervisor on aspects of assigned area. Participates in accomplishing tasks in the assigned area, such as :
Leads work activities such as : o Scheduling and balancing workload o Handling routine correspondence using Microsoft Outlook
Computes and verifies data on a variety of subjects.
Performs other related duties as assigned Minimum Position Specification Guidelines : Basic Knowledge :
Identifying, logging, and verifying data accurately
Ability to multi-task without losing speed or accuracy and resolve identified discrepancies
Requires the application of special or skill knowledge and / or pertinent techniques to work assignments; this includes problem solving and editing the work of others.
Requires ability to work independently, make decisions and edit work of others.
Requires the ability to communicate (orally and in writing) accurately and / or use arithmetic and basic statistics.
Requires math skills including fractions / decimals.
Requires thorough familiarity with departmental and divisional policy including confidentiality and advanced training in subject matter.
Must be organized, detail oriented, and attentive to follow-through.
Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word and Excel. Preferred Qualifications / Competencies
High level of Moral Integrity, exceptional Organization skills, Negotiation skills, strong Written Communication skills, Cooperative, Team Oriented, Conscientious, Detail Oriented.
Three years experience in the same or related tasks is preferable.
Progressively responsible supply chain assignments, supply chain experience preferred
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills and Follow-through and organization skills. Good analytical capability and ability to identify appropriate course of action based on analytics, sense of urgency
