Description :
Working with a manufacturer in the Bedford Heights, OH area seeking a skilled and Production Shift Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the activities of our food packaging and processing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety regulations, production processes, and team management. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting production targets. This is a 3rd shift opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Production Planning and Scheduling :
Develop and execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
Lead and supervise a team of production workers, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Ensure adherence to strict food safety and quality standards, including GMPs, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.
Monitor the condition of production equipment and schedule preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
