Overview
UWM is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Lead for Information Security (Administration). In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the administration of our information security systems and protocols, ensuring the highest level of protection for our organization's data and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of security best practices in these areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of security professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Security Administration : Oversee the administration and maintenance of security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems (IDS / IPS), anti-virus software, and other security appliances.
- Project Implementation : Implement strategies and frameworks that align with the organization's security objectives, ensuring effective identification of potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Performance Monitoring : Monitor and analyze detection performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of day-to-day activities of the team, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Collaboration : Work closely with IT, security operations, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures into overall IT practices, incident response, and risk management frameworks.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and incidents, providing regular reports to senior management on security posture and initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.Proven experience in information security administration, with a strong understanding of relevant technologies and best practices.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in conducting risk assessments and responding to security incidents.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.The Place & The Perks
