Director of ProductionDepartment : ProductionReports To : CEOPosition OverviewThe Director of Production leads and manages all operations within the Production Department. This role oversees the full production process from planning to execution, ensuring quality, efficiency, and collaboration across departments.The Director of Production works closely with Account Executives and the Creative Department to plan and deliver high-quality events and productions that meet client objectives and uphold company standards. They are responsible for assigning production team members to projects, ensuring the right individuals are paired with Account Executives based on project type, complexity, and team strengths.This role also includes monitoring results from each project to ensure events run smoothly and providing additional support when challenges arise. The Director of Production collaborates directly with the CEO and CMO to ensure the department operates in alignment with company goals, growth plans, and creative direction.As a department manager, the Director of Production handles hiring, training, performance management, and terminations within the Production Department, as well as approving and coordinating time off to maintain appropriate coverage.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, structure, and strategic direction for the Production Department.Oversee and support all production staff, including the Production Team Manager, Production Managers, and Specialists.Collaborate with Account Executives and Creative teams to plan and execute event and production deliverables.Assign production staff to projects, ensuring the right skillsets and experience align with each account or event.Monitor the progress and results of all production projects to ensure smooth operations and successful outcomes.Provide additional resources or support as needed to resolve challenges during active projects.Work closely with the CEO and CMO to align production goals with the companys overall strategy and brand direction.Manage hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews for all production team members.Approve and coordinate time-off requests and manage department scheduling to ensure sufficient coverage.Maintain and improve production workflows, systems, and processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.Represent the Production Department in leadership meetings and cross-departmental planning sessions.Qualifications5+ years of experience in production, event management, or related operational leadership.Proven experience leading teams and managing multiple concurrent projects.Strong understanding of production logistics, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.Knowledge of production tools, scheduling systems, and workflow management.Compensation & ClassificationPosition Type : Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt) not eligible for overtime or show bonuses.Pay Range : Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Benefits : Eligible for company benefits, including PTO, holidays, and health coverage (if applicable).
