The staff consists of day shift 2 charge nurses, 9 nurses, and 3 techs, with variable sitters. The night shift has a similar staffing structure, with 2 techs. Patient ratios are 1 : 6 and 1 : 5. The unit is equipped with chest tubes, traction, orthopedics, IVs, O2, trachs, and drains. The EMR system used is Meditech. Candidates with trauma experience will be considered first. Typical procedures performed in this unit include lines and drains. The ideal candidate is flexible and has good time management skills. The position requires working 4 weekend shifts per schedule.
