Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a full time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit (STC-5) The #1 city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement! Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.\n\nUnit Summary\n\nThis 36-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from Adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service for STC-5 include but are not limited to the following : \n\n
- Wide variety of Medical Diagnosis, most patients we see come from the ICU, especially the MICU\n\n
- Patients requiring medication regimens\n\n
- Patients with impaired respiratory status\n\n
- Patients requiring airborne, contact and / or droplet precautions\n\n
- Patients requiring nutritional support\n\n
- Patients requiring wound and skin care\n\n
- Diagnostic procedures including thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath insertion, pacemaker and collection of specimens\n\n
- Patients requiring N / G suction\n\n
- Patients requiring cardiac monitoring\n\n
- Patients with GI abnormalities\n\n
- Severe Sepsis\n\n
- Bi-Pap machines (external vent)\n\n
- CHF\n\n

- Graduate of RN School of Nursing\n\n
- ADN required; BSN preferred\n\n
- Active RN License\n\n
- Minimum of 6 Months of RN experience\n\n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required\n\nQualifications\n
- Grad of an Accredited Program\n
- Specialized field of study should be nursing.\n
- RN license.\n
- Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
