Backup Management : Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup solutions such as Commvault, NetBackup, and Veeam. Good to have experience with Dell PPBS (Druva) and Dell PPDM.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Proactively monitor backup jobs and storage systems. Identify and resolve issues to minimize risks of data loss or downtime.
Compliance & Security : Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory data protection standards. Implement and enforce encryption and secure access policies for backup systems.
Storage Administration : Manage SAN, NAS, and cloud storage environments to ensure performance, scalability, and availability. Hands-on experience with Dell storage technologies : PowerStore, Unity, PowerMax, PowerScale, and Data Domain.
Capacity Planning : Analyze storage utilization and growth trends. Recommend capacity upgrades or optimization strategies for efficient storage management.
AWS Storage Services : Administer S3 Buckets and leverage scripting for automation within AWS. Work closely with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams to safeguard business-critical data. Provide technical support and coordinate with external partners when required.
Operating Systems : Basic understanding of operating system layers. Experience working with both Windows and Unix platforms.
Networking : Knowledge of networking concepts and the OSI model. Ability to troubleshoot network-related issues affecting backup and storage systems.
VMware : Basic hands-on experience with VMware environments. Skilled in creating and managing virtual machines.
Qualifications
Strong experience in enterprise backup and storage administration
Proficiency with Dell storage technologies and AWS storage services
Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux environments
Understanding of networking concepts and VMware fundamentals
Ability to analyze usage, performance, and capacity requirements
