• Previous travel experience
• Ability to float to Medsurg & ER as needed

Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery specialty.

The nurse will be required to care for obstetric and neonatal patients.

Common diagnoses include hypertension and gestational diabetes.

The unit follows AWHONN guidelines with a ratio of 1 : 1 for specific drips and 1 : 3 for couplet care.

RNs must be able to titrate drips, including pitocin and magnesium.

Nurses will receive assignments and are expected to adapt to changes.

There is a charge nurse on each shift who also has an assignment.

Patient care associates assist with vitals and patient transfers.

Nurses will read and monitor their own fetal strips.

No clinical involvement is required from RNs in regards to anesthesia and other specialists.

There are respiratory therapy equipment available, but RNs are only required to troubleshoot.

The nurses will work a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.

Additional requests for time off must be made up front, and new requests will not be approved after submission.

Nurses are required to wear designated scrubs provided by the facility.
