Job Summary
This role involves performing Computed Tomography (CT) scans to produce detailed images of tissues and internal organs, which physicians will use to diagnose and treat patients.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education : Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Licenses / Certification :
- Certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support is required.
- A current or temporary license from the Texas Medical Board (MRT) is required.
- Must be a Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
Capability to assist in lifting and maneuvering patients as necessary to perform job functions effectively.Principal Accountabilities
Conduct CT scans : Prepare patients, clarify the procedure, administer contrast as needed, position patients accurately, select suitable imaging techniques, and verify the technical quality of the images.Document and monitor patient data efficiently.Perform quality assurance checks on CT equipment, and assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditations.Report any incidents, patient complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management.Be available for emergency calls within the department; weekend work and floating to other locations may be required.Ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors; comply with all Memorial Hermann policies and standards, including time management, supply management, and service quality.Promote personal and professional growth by fulfilling mandatory continuing education and skills training; serve as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff.Demonstrate a commitment to compassionate care for all community members, delivering personalized experiences and embodying Memorial Hermann's service standards.Other duties as assigned.
