Overview
Tesla’s Product Knowledge team is looking for a video and media producer to support our Sales and Delivery Operations team. This individual will be responsible for planning, producing, editing, and delivering customer-facing as well as internal product education videos. While your video expertise will be fully leveraged, you will also be involved in all else that the team does. This includes producing other kinds of content to support our Sales & Delivery teams. We’re looking for someone who communicates effortlessly and has a genuine passion for producing media that promotes learning. You should be eager to contribute artistically at each point in the production process and insist on having fun while doing so. On this team, flexible, results-driven approaches are valued over pedantic or theoretical ones that can slow progress. You’ll be shooting in-studio and on-site. Fast-paced collaboration will be necessary to crystalize ideas and deliver a message that captures attention, inspires change, and supports learning objectives. You’ll thrive if eager to learn, open to feedback, and outspoken with your ideas. Tesla’s Product Knowledge team, part of the Sales & Delivery Operations team, is responsible for ensuring that Tesla’s global employees and customers are knowledgeable about Tesla’s products and the ways in which they contribute to Tesla’s mission. Location can be flexible at any Sales, Service or Delivery location in the US.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate on intake of content requests and propose media solutions along with co-writing scripts / speaking points
- Manage multiple projects with changing scopes and timelines and coordinate deadlines
- Shoot movies using different camera techniques, run sound, set up lighting for in-studio and on-location
- Manage on-screen talent to visually reproduce precise human interactions using standard visual composition and exposure theory
- Use editing tools to adhere to corporate guidelines and visual standards with motion graphics and refined audio
- Assist with maintaining and expanding our internal knowledge base, organizing production resources and archiving content
What You'll Bring
2+ years of experience producing mediaStrong grasp of camera and lighting configurations, production audio, and performance coachingAbility to plan, execute, and ship multiple projects simultaneously, including the ability to develop scripts and shot listsUnderstanding of OS X, Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Suite Apps, Office 365, DAM (data asset management)Professional experience with industry-standard cameras (DJI, Sony, GoPro, etc.), to achieve a desired look from a shot listEffective organizational and communication skills, action orientated, with the ability to plan and produce projects independently on short-noticeBenefits
