Northwest AEA provides special education and school improvement services to 34 public school districts and 33 accredited, non-public schools. The agency serves 45,000 students and more than 6,000 educators in a 10-county area of Northwest Iowa (Lyon, Osceola, Sioux, O'Brien, Plymouth, Cherokee, Woodbury, Ida, Monona, and Crawford).

Job Description

Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist

Reports To : Director of a Region

Classification : Certified

Job Summary

This role, in partnership with educators, families and communities, provides specialized evaluation, instruction, and consultative services required to meet the unique educational needs of students who are experiencing educational difficulty, within a multi-disciplinary problem-solving team structure.

Qualifications

Education :

• Master's degree in speech pathology.
• State of Iowa professional service license or statement of professional recognition from the Iowa Department of Education.
• Iowa Department of Public Health speech pathologist license or a speech pathologist temporary clinical license.
