Job descriptionBoard certified / eligible in emergency medicine New graduates, residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply. There are full-time, part-time, or PRN positions available Ranked as the 3rd busiest ED in Maryland, with a remarkable 80,000 annual visits, we have been recognized as a State Top Performer in EMS offload time, showcasing our commitment to efficiency. Seamless integration with Sound Physicians' hospitalist, observation, pediatric, and critical care teams for smooth throughput, ensuring a low LWBS rate of less than 3%. High acuity setting with a 30% admission rate, complemented by our designation as a STEMI Center and Primary Stroke Center, offering ED MRI for stroke and spinal cord emergencies. We are magnet status accredited with fully staffed nursing, ensuring a high standard of care. Cutting-edge facilities, including point-of-care ultrasound in the ED, an ED pharmacist, and dedicated ED social work / case management. Our guiding principle is patient-first care, which means we're focused on the people of Frederick and nearby areas. You'll be part of a team that's making a real difference in the health of our neighbors. Compensation : W2 rates equivalent to $225 / hour days; $240 / hour nights. Benefits : 401k with matching contributions. Paid malpractice insurance, including tail coverage. Annual CME Allowance.

Local Team Collaboration :
- Join our close-knit team of 15 physicians and 20 APPs at Frederick Health Hospital.
- Work alongside a Clinical Performance nurse. We prioritize the longevity of our clinicians and provide comprehensive ancillary services in the ED, including peer recovery, ED pharmacists, crisis intervention, social work, and case management.
- For those who like to teach, we work with medical students, APPs, and residents from Shenandoah, Frostburg, and other local programs.
