Infrastructure Engineer
We have partnered with our client in their search for an Infrastructure Engineer for one of our clients in Columbus, OH
Responsibilities
- Roles and Responsibilities : This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including :
- Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication
- Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
- Strong knowledge of zOSConnect (aka zOSC or zCEE) on the mainframe. Build, configure and trouble shoot issues.
- Proficient across WebSphere (WAS) Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Design (compliance, security) and Connectivity (planning, securing)
- Strong knowledge of server side design patterns and continuous delivery principles
- Ability to articulate and share clear, concise complex technical findings to management in understandable terms
- Intermediate / Strong proficiency in these key areas :
- WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and zOSConnect / zCEE
- JAVA
- TCP / IP, Certificates, AT-TLS, Keyring, Keystore
- Experience with USS (dire
Skills Required
- BS / BA degree or equivalent experience
- Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages : Python, Java, C, C++, Go, JCL, REXX, PERL, PHP, JYTHON, zOSMF Workflows, J2EE, MVC, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, HTML, JQuery, AngularJS, JSON and XML
- Advanced experience working with two or more from the following : web application development, database, unix / linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, large scale software development, security software development
