Senior Billing Specialist - Washington, DC (Hybrid Remote)

Location : Washington, DC Salary : $90,000-$105,000 / year Schedule : Full-time | Hybrid Remote

What You'll Do

• Monitor unbilled inventory and ensure timely invoice processing
• Prepare monthly and transactional billing reports for attorney review
• Ensure invoices align with client guidelines and rate agreements
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing issues
• Process billing adjustments, write-offs, and transfers
• Coordinate with E-Billing Specialists for accurate invoice submission
• Maintain billing records and ensure audit-readiness
• Report regularly to management on billing status
• Contribute to special projects and process improvements
• What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of billing experience in a law firm or government contracting environment
• Minimum 5 years of legal billing experience; Aderant experience is preferred but not required
• Strong Excel proficiency and attention to detail
• Experience navigating compliance-heavy billing protocols
• Professional, diplomatic communication skills
