Job Description

Overview :

The Receiving Lead will manage the daily activities of his / her area including ownership of the results, coaching the temporary employees, interfacing with other departments and meeting production goals.

Inform employees of receiving schedules and goals. Train new employees. Interpret company policies and procedures to employees, work with employees to resolve job problems.

Organize work site, delegate assignments, responsible for scheduling employees and notifying them of their start and quit time, and evaluate work.

Make corrections and follow up to see that instructions have been carried out.

Here's what you'll do :

• Signing in and out of truck drivers and completing appropriate paperwork.
• Keeps supervisor informed of schedules and job progress.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in their work process.
• Maintain production and quality standards
• Maintains area in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times
• Maintains and enforces all safety standards and regulations
• Carries out company personnel policies and procedures in a fair and uniform manner
• Keeps Supervisor informed of all activities
• Adheres by company policies and procedures
• Puts safety first
• Follows company GMPs
• Makes an effort to set a good example of others
• Respects others
• Does not have a close personal relationship with workers on the same team
• Able to work as a team
• Learns each packing requirement
• Becomes familiar with customer specifications
• Maintains production and quality standards
• Maintains safe and organized working area
• Able to lift up to 50 lb
• Communicates ideas to supervisors to improve processes
• Takes responsibilities for team’s mistakes
• Encourages team to be better
• Identifies waste and takes action to correct
• Types manifest, export papers and bills of laden in an accurate and timely manner
• Schedules appointments with truck drivers to drop off orders
• May perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table :

• Ability to read and write English well enough to effectively execute duties
• Ability to do general mathematical functions using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to file and recall material in a standard filing system
• Must have basic computer literacy
• Must be able to work in close office environment with several other staff. Answer the telephone in a professional manner
• Bi-lingual, English / Spanish desirable
• Willing to work long hours if needed
• Shipping, receiving, warehousing experience preferable
• Customer service oriented
