WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who is primarily responsible for the day-to-day assignments of the maintenance department based on operational requests and requirements. They will be responsible for the safe, proper, and efficient maintenance of the facility in accordance with company policies and standards, under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
The Maintenance Supervisor will manage and coordinate maintenance activities to include but not be limited to installing, inspecting, testing, repairing, adjusting, and calibrating all plant equipment and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of the maintenance department during daily operations
- Responsible for reviewing and ensuring all operating and emergency procedures are being complied with in the Maintenance department
- Makes daily inspections of plant machinery and equipment; inspects ongoing activities for safety and environmental compliance, and for adherence to standard operating procedures
- Assigns daily work to team based on priority, working with the Operations department on a shift-to-shift basis
- Responsible for compliance of maintenance department as it relates to required training and additional training requested to improve an employee's development
- Supervises mechanical and E&I maintenance function of plant, in accordance with appropriate company safety and maintenance standards and procedures
- Supervises all mechanical and E&I maintenance department activities including, but not limited to preventative, predictive, corrective, emergency, contracted and warranty service
- Prepares, authorizes, and schedules completion of work orders for equipment repair and maintenance
- Selects, supervises, trains, develops, and evaluates performance of maintenance staff
- Schedules and monitors performance of all outside contractors to ensure effective, safe plant maintenance and operation
- Oversees maintenance of all facility mobile equipment
- Develops and maintains record of plant maintenance, including work orders, P.M., lubrication planning, planned and unplanned outages and inspections
- Utilizes and maintains CMMS in accordance with company policy
- Oversees management of Maintenance Shop
- Responsible for maintaining acceptable plant morale
- Responsible for maintaining plant cleanliness
- Efficient management of the company's operations standards
- Ensures customer satisfaction
- Administers / enforces the lockout / tagout system
- Fosters and promotes a culture of teamwork between operational staff and all other plant staff
- Provides daily supervision over assigned staff and is responsible for the preparation of the maintenance shift schedules
- Completes the Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the time frame prescribed
- Ensures that the facility and all personnel operate safely at all times and promotes an environment whereby safety is a priority
- Thoroughly and promptly investigates any accidents or near misses in conjunction with the Environmental compliance manager as well as the Health & Safety manager
- Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
- Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action
- Troubleshoots equipment and assists in diagnosing problem areas
- Maintains positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited College or University in a technical field or equivalent desirable3-5 years' experience in a power plant environment or military background1-3 years of supervisory or management experienceKnowledge and understanding of the operation, maintenance and control of a steam generating power plantProficient with Microsoft Software; Excel, Word, Office, etc.Experienced in using CMMSTravel may be required, 0-25%Flexibility to work nights during facility outages or major equipment projects as neededProvide night supervision during all major outages; unscheduled and scheduledAssist the Maintenance Manager with implementation of a direct effective PM program, lubrication plans, installation, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the facility in a safe and professional mannerMaintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and managementCertificates And Licenses
