Job descriptionDeliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with professional standards and the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify priority needs, and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately, monitoring for therapeutic and adverse responses. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, patient progress, and outcomes in the electronic medical record. Promote a safe and healing environment by adhering to infection prevention, fall prevention, and patient safety protocols. Participate in shared governance, evidence-based practice initiatives, and continuous performance improvement. Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and positive role model to peers and new staff. Support unit-based goals and contribute to a culture of compassion, teamwork, integrity, and excellence. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred). Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia (or Compact License, as applicable). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
