Responsibilities

• Order and prepare radiopharmaceuticals.
• Perform advanced nuclear medicine procedures and process patient data using computers.
• Maintain compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines.
• Record patient results accurately.
• Conduct quality control on nuclear medicine equipment.
• Calculate decay and biological half-lives of radiopharmaceuticals and prepare drug kits.
• Operate mobile nuclear department vehicles when required.

Additional Information

This role involves exposure to low-level radiation and occasional higher levels during therapeutic procedures, as well as potential contact with blood and bodily fluids. Must be able to work over 8 hours, participate in on-call rotations, and wear protective clothing as needed.
