Who We Are : At The Standard, Miami Beach, we're anything but standard. Our spa-hotel playground blends laid-back luxury with Miami energy, where guests come to sweat, soak, and socialize. None of that magic works, though, without the behind-the-scenes brilliance of our Engineering team.

The Role

We're on the lookout for a skilled Engineer who loves solving problems before they happen. From HVAC to hot tubs, guestroom fixes to pool maintenance, you'll be the one making sure every part of our property is safe, functional, and ready to wow our guests.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance across the property—guestrooms, public areas, spa facilities, pools, and back-of-house.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain spa-specific equipment (saunas, steam rooms, hydrotherapy pools) to top safety and hygiene standards.
• Respond quickly to guest and team maintenance requests, minimizing downtime and maximizing smiles.
• Assist with energy efficiency programs and the Building Management System (BMS).
• Keep detailed records of work, repairs, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and health regulations—keeping The Standard safe, secure, and operational.
• Jump into emergency situations (power outage, plumbing leak, HVAC hiccup) with confidence and calm.
• Partner with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs.
