Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Technician (Night Shift)

Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Technician to join their night shift team in Merced, CA. Under limited supervision, this role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of plant and building equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated technician with strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and perform preventive maintenance on plant and building equipment with guidance from the Chief Engineer.
• Schedule inspections and overhauls in coordination with production activities.
• Maintain detailed logs and records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
• Assist in assigning maintenance responsibilities and track progress and quality of work.
• Inspect malfunctioning machinery to identify root causes and determine repair needs.
• Recommend new maintenance methods, tools, and equipment to improve operations.
• Ensure proper selection and safe use of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Participate in and promote OSHA-compliant safety practices and procedures.
• Maintain inventories of machine parts and ensure they are in good working condition.
• Support air, noise, and pollution control measures in compliance with industry and OSHA standards.
• Train and guide maintenance mechanics on equipment upkeep and repair techniques.
• Perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

Compensation : 70-80k annually
