We are looking for an experienced HR Director to join our client's team on a contract basis in Salem, Oregon. This role requires a forward-thinking individual who can assess and modernize HR operations, strengthen team dynamics, and ensure organizational compliance. As part of a mission-driven nonprofit, you will play a key role in aligning HR strategies with the organization's goals.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate the current HR department structure and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct risk assessments to address potential challenges and opportunities within the workforce.
• Oversee employee relations to foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage benefit programs and ensure they align with employee needs and organizational objectives.
• Develop and implement HR policies to maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Lead recruitment and hiring efforts to attract and retain top talent.
• Provide strategic guidance to the leadership team on HR-related matters.
• Assess team performance and implement strategies for skill development and growth.
• Monitor compensation practices to ensure equity and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with management to align HR initiatives with the nonprofit's mission and business goals.
