Deburr Technician

1. Support the production and manufacturing department by completing in process manual operations to help maintain the production flow and schedule.
2. Complete all final manual operations and inspections, prior to the delivery of the manufactured component.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE :
List special technical, academic or other knowledge required as a minimum qualification in this job. Describe how much and what type of additional work experience is required as a minimum for this job.
1. High School diploma or equivalent
1. Comprehensive understanding of, and ability to use all forms of power deburr / edge break tools (air and electric) and their associated attachments (carbide burrs, flex hones, cartridge rolls, unitized points etc.)
2. Or, Preferred Experience as described below
2. Competent with the use of manual deburr tools (deburr knives, countersinks, files, etc.
3. Ability to interpret information and perform detailed deburr and edge break operations (Aerospace / Defense standard or equivalent) on various engine components of differing materials, through verbal and written instruction (physical sample, engineering blueprint, printed SOP, etc.)
4. Competent with various forms of measuring equipment (e.g. Micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, go / no-go gauges, etc.)
5. Strong mechanical and component assembly experience
6. Working knowledge of both the inch and metric measuring systems
7. Previous experience in a production environment with multiple departments working together
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE :
1. Preferred Experience
Ability to read and understand detailed blueprints
Previous race or production engine assembly or rebuilding experience
General knowledge and / or experience working with manual or CNC machinery
Previous Aerospace or Defense industry experience (Deburr, and / or Assembly)
Previous experience with Associate supervision
2. Computer Skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Project, PowerPoint)
Professional communication via e-mail systems
3. Special Skills
Forklift operating experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
1. Physical requirements are listed below but not limited to :
Standing-Frequent / Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day
Walking-Occasionally / Intermittent Up to 3 hours per day
Sitting- Occasionally / Intermittent
Lifting- Up to 50 lbs. Occasionally / Intermittent
Carrying-up to 50 lbs. Occasionally / Intermittent
Pushing / Pulling-between 50-100 lbs. Occasionally / Intermittent
Ability to complete, pass and operate a lift truck or fork lift, and fork lift safety certification program (Provided by TRD).
