Wiring Assembler

The primary function of the Wiring Assembler is to provide a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks, eager to learn and grow as a versatile assembler.
You will be using general tools such as soldering irons, cutters, wrenches, luggers, component bending tools, power tools and screwdrivers, vacuum equipment, heat guns, tie wrap guns, crimpers, crimping machines and possibly others. (Required to provide own / personal tools)
M-F 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm (some extended hours may be required from time to time) & some Saturdays Hourly, non-exempt
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of diverse electronic or mechanical production assembly tasks meeting with a consistent level of high skill, knowledge and versatility meeting high quality expectations
Solder, assemble, route and secure wiring / cables into subassemblies such as panels and cabinets
Work with hand tools and specialty tools as required
Perform rework resulting from drawing change notices
Cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant
Develop working knowledge of the production environment
Comply with manufacturing code of conduct

Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years related wiring assembly experience
Experience with electromechanical panel wiring, cabinet wiring, PLCs onto panel enclosures, wire routing
Use and operate various computer systems and applicable software (such as retrieving work instructions or manufacturing module in ERP system)
Ability to follow technical drawings and assembly instructions and processes to assemble cables to manufacturing and industry specifications

Desired Qualifications
3-4 years wiring assembly experience
Familiarity and Certification of IPC 610 & 620 or J-Standards-001
Awareness of Lean 6Sigma processes
Working Conditions
This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury so some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 100 pounds (with assistance) is required.
