About The Position

Locum Physician Assistant (PA) – General Surgery

📍 Novi & Southfield, MI

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage in a hospital-based General Surgery department. This role is primarily OR-focused, supporting a high-volume surgical team.

✨ Position Highlights :

Start : Immediate – December 31, 2025 (option to remain credentialed PRN afterward)

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (approx. 7 : 00 a.m.–3 : 30 p.m., flexible start / end times), 40 hrs / week

Call : No call required

Setting : Hospital-based OR with multiple operating rooms and DaVinci robotic platforms

🩺 Responsibilities :

First-assist in robotic surgical cases (GYN, urology, general surgery, bariatrics)

Port placement and port site closure

Assist in non-robotic cases as needed

Occasional discharge / depart documentation and outpatient prescriptions

🤝 Team Environment :

Collaborative surgical team with residents and attending surgeons

Robust OR support from scrub techs and circulating nurses

Diverse case mix with strong exposure to robotic procedures

• ACLS
• BLS
• Michigan State License
• Board Certification : NCCPA
