INNOCEAN USA , a full-service ad agency located in sunny Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a VP, Analytics & Insights to join our team!
We are a hybrid workplace, minimum 3 days week in-office. Candidates must be local to SoCal.
Our ideal candidate has a WEB Analytics background. This a pivotal leadership role within the Analytics team, driving data-driven decision-making across client initiatives. The Analytics Team works with the channel teams to identify business objectives and develop actionable insights that help optimize the HyundaiUSA.com, CRM, social and overall business strategy. The team develops and implements technical requirements for web analytics tools, manages tagging, conducts A / B & multivariate testing, and produces reports and dashboards.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The VP, Analytics & Insights will lead and mentor a team of analysts, providing strategic direction and technical expertise to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced analytical solutions, focusing on digital analytics, customer segmentation, and incrementality measurement to optimize marketing performance and drive client business growth. The VP, Analytics & Insights will collaborate closely with other departments, including Media, Strategy, and Account Management, to ensure data-driven strategies are integrated into client initiatives and campaigns. The VP, Analytics & Insights will interface with key client decision makers and be able to effectively tell a narrative using data-backed evidence.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analytics Leadership : Define and execute the analytics vision and roadmap for INNOCEAN, aligning with overall agency and client objectives.
- Data Storytelling : Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Oversee the development and implementation of integrated marketing data sources across key areas :
- Digital Analytics : Deep-dive analysis of marketing channel performance (e.g., digital, social, traditional) to identify optimization opportunities.
- Customer Segmentation : Develop robust customer segmentation models to enable targeted and personalized marketing campaigns.
- Incrementality Measurement : Design and execute rigorous testing methodologies (e.g., A / B testing, multi-touch attribution) to quantify the true impact of marketing activities
- Client Engagement : Serve as a key point of contact for clients on data science initiatives, presenting findings and recommendations to senior-level stakeholders.
- Team Leadership & Development : Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data analysts. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Collaboration : Partner with other departments (Media, Strategy, Account Management, Creative) to integrate data-driven insights into all client campaigns and initiatives
- Technology Evaluation & Adoption : Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and evaluate / recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the team's capabilities
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The VP, Analytics & Insights will lead and manage the Digital Analytics team, including Data Analysts, and working cross functionally with Data Engineers. This includes performance management, career development, and resource allocation. The team is expected to contain 5-8 members.QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
15+ years of experience in WEB analytics, with a proven track record of leading and delivering impactful data-driven solutions.Significant experience (5+ years) in a leadership role, managing and mentoring data science teams.Advertising / marketing industry experienceAdvertising agency background strongly preferredExtensive experience with digital analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data storytelling.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, R.Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).Strong understanding of marketing principles and advertising technologies (AdTech / MarTech).Previous OEM / retail automotive experience a plus, but not necessary.Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team of data professionalsStrategic thinker with a strong business acumen and a passion for driving results.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.BENEFITS
