Job Title : Automation Engineer, Mitsubishi PLC Specialist
Location : Knoxville, TN Area (Accomodations, Transportation, Living Expenses Covered for remote individuals)
Employment Type : Full-time Contract

Status : Must be USA Citizen or individual with Valid TN Visa
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Strong skills & experience with programming Mitsubishi PLCs, Servos, Inverters and Motion Controllers using GX Works3, GT Designer3, GT Simulator3, MR Configurator, FR Configurator and MT Developer 2.
- Strong skills & experience with PILZ Safety PLC using PNOZ Configurator Software.
- Strong skills & experience with Cognex Visions systems using Cognex In-Sight Explorer and Dataman RTM Controller.
- Develop, test, and deploy programmable logic controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) programs using Ladder Logic and / or Function Block diagrams.
- Test and debug automation systems to ensure client requirements are met before dispatch.
- Collaborate with customers to understand automation system requirements, design solutions that add value, and improve equipment performance.
- Program PLCs, Servo Drives, HMIs, VFDs, and SCADA systems as required.
- Design HMI graphics and troubleshoot control panels for OEM equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
- Identify hardwired and digital I / O required to monitor and control the system and develop appropriate software interfaces.
- Assist in the development of and review appropriate engineering and interface drawings.
- Manage project timelines to ensure targets are met and all software and networks function correctly.
- Document project progress using field service reports and Microsoft suite tools.
- Provide solutions or patch software as required while adhering to configuration management principles.
Specialty Knowledge :
Familiarity with working in a fast paced, high demand manufacturing environment.Has provided technical support to vendors for establishing communication for FIS & QTS.Has participated in IT meetings related to FIS, QTS, and PDS.Has setup PDS Autosave for TIA, Simatic Manager, TCU, and Fanuc Robot systems.Qualifications :
Proven experience in Mitsubishi PLC and HMI software development, PILZ Safety PLCs and Cognex Vision Systems.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.Excellent project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and quality standards.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Must be a US Citizen or currently had TN Visa (or have had one in the past).A very competitive wage, overtime pay and travel expenses will be covered for the successful candidate.
