Crate and Barrel Designers have a passion for helping customers see what is possible with the latest on-trend merchandise. They build meaningful relationships with customers, guiding and advising them on furnishing an entire room or a single accent piece. Designers stay up-to-date on trends and work with a range of styles from classic to contemporary, using digital tools during in-store and in-home consultations to bring visions to life. This role offers a creative and rewarding career for those who enjoy working with customers in a collaborative environment and have a proven ability to drive sales.

A day in the life as a Designer...

• Drive sales and a differentiated customer experience by providing enriching interactions and elevated design offerings in-store, in-home, and virtually.
• Create elevated designs using moodboards, 2D & 3D floor plans, product lists, and customer presentations.
• Lead design consultations in person (in-store or in-home) or via email, phone and virtual.
• Deliver projects in a timely manner within set timelines.
• Understand brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy by channel (Store, E-Commerce, Catalog).
• Stay informed on product information, care details, and industry trends.
• Meet individual sales, KPI and service goals, and engage customers on the sales floor.
• Identify customer needs and communicate loyalty services (e.g., designer rewards, Design Trade Program, credit card).
• Provide excellent service with a positive attitude and efficient customer experiences.
• Support store training on design services to drive understanding of offerings.
• Develop new and lasting relationships with customers through networking and clienteling.
