Role Summary : Flowserve is looking for a Subject Manager Expert (SME) for Specialty Chemical market to support our Automation & Control Valve business unit. The Commercial Operation SME is the authority in regards to the Specialty Chemical market. As such, he / she is the go-to person for sales and Commercial operation when it gets to specifying products applicable the Specialty Chemical market. The SME will collaborate globally with cross-functional teams including Commercial Operations, Sales, Engineering & Product Management to help increase booking, revenue and profitability. This position can be located anywhere within the US. Travel requirement : 50%

Responsibilities

• Main role is to expand our presence and bookings in the Specialty Chemical market
• Works with the commercial operation teams to define application guidelines to offer the best technical and commercial solution.
• Works with product management and engineering to help develop or customize products that meet market requirements including requested certification
• Works with sales to enlist on vendor's list specific to the Specialty Chemical market. and develop capability to receive RFQs
• Develop insights and recommendations related to market-level-prices
• Develop insights and recommendations related to service requirements
• Understand competition and how to differentiate our solution in the Anti-Surge and Severe Service application field.
• Develop training material to improve overall knowledge of various functions specific to the Specialty Chemical market.
