Venture Dynamics is currently hiring 1st and 2nd class shipyard craft workers for full time employment with growth opportunities in New Orleans, LA.

Must have at least 3 years of aluminum welding, ship fitting, marine electrical, machining or carpentry experience

Must have some blue print reading experience in order to be considered

Must have a high school diploma or GED

Must have your own transportation

Must be physically fit to work in an industrial environment 40 hours a week. We will conduct a physical to ensure you are fit for duty.

Having experience working with aluminum is a plus!

Must be able to pass a standard background check going back 7 years.

All craft workers must be able to work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week. Overtime is available.

All candidates will be expected to participate in a face to face interview.

Pay range is between 25.00 / hr and 28.00 depending upon experience.

Job Types : Full-time, Contract

Salary : $24.00 - $28.50 per hour

Required Skills :

Experience in pulse and / or x-ray aluminum welding required.

2 plus years of experience in aluminum welding required.

Experience with ships or working in a shipyard preferred.

Must have own transportation

Must be US Citizen

Must pass drug and background screening

Must be able to tour all vessels, piers, docks and work sites. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand;

walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.

Working Environment : Able to walk, stand, climb stairs, and ladders, sit reach, bend, kneel, and lift 50 pounds. Able to enter confined / enclosed or tight spaces.

Capable of working in extreme temperatures both hot and cold. Work in noise areas where the noise levels may exceed 110 db.

Able to wear personal protective clothing to include hard hat and safety shoes.
