Job Summary
Chief Financial Officer – executive leadership role for HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge, a 157‑bed facility. The CFO directs all financial activities, including budgeting, reporting, and strategic planning, reporting directly to the Hospital CEO and collaborating with division CFOs, COOs, and CNOs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and actions to reduce operating costs and increase revenues using market trends and financial reports.
- Direct the preparation of internal financial reports that accurately reflect the hospital’s financial position.
- Ensure timely submission of all required financial and regulatory reports, including payroll tax, public disclosure, and third‑party payer cost reports.
- Identify undesirable trends, highlight business opportunities, and recommend actions.
- Assist the CEO in developing long‑ and short‑term operational plans, service demand analyses, and productivity studies.
- Create long‑ and short‑term operational and capital budgets aligned with the hospital’s strategic plans.
- Oversee the preparation of hospital statistical reports, budgets, and financial statements.
- Administer accounting, patient business services, reimbursement, and statistical reporting functions per established policies.
- Provide informal direction in data processing, distributed systems, material management, and medical record functions.
- Forecast the impact of business decisions on financial results.
- Monitor financial and economic information to identify trends and indicators that could affect operations, planning, and investments.
- Communicate financial performance to senior administration, facility staff, and the Division Office.
- Review denials, net reimbursement issues, and maintain charge‑master accuracy.
- Review contracts, purchase agreements, and other financial arrangements for compatibility with business goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).Master’s degree (preferred).4+ years’ experience in a Hospital Controller, Assistant CFO, or VP of Finance role (preferred).Certified Public Accountant (preferred).Benefits
