Job Description

TMZ is looking for a Web Writer who can write short form stories accurately, fairly and with speed. The story topics range from serious to hilarious, lawsuits to celeb photos and everything in between. A background in pop culture is not required, but having an interest in the subject matter is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Write short form web stories accurately, fairly and with speed for TMZ.
• Cover topics ranging from serious to humorous, including lawsuits, celebrity photos and more.
• Collaborate with newsroom leadership; report to the News Director and Executive Producers.
• On-site presence required five days a week.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate / range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $75,000.00-95,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical / dental / vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
