ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - POLITICAL LAW PRACTICE

Our client, an international Amlaw 50 firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their premier Political Law practice in Washington, DC . This position offers the opportunity to work with leading corporations, financial institutions, trade associations, and investment firms on high-profile regulatory matters involving government interactions and political activity.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in the District of Columbia , in good standing
- 2–4 years of substantive experience in political law , campaign finance , lobbying compliance , or related regulatory matters
- Experience with campaign finance, pay-to-play rules , lobbying regulations, and the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA)
- Prior experience at the Federal Election Commission or in a comparable law firm environment
- Demonstrated excellence in legal research, drafting, and regulatory analysis
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to client service, collaboration, and high professional standards

Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on campaign finance laws , pay-to-play restrictions , lobbying regulations , and FARA complianceAssist corporations, trade associations, financial service providers, private equity firms, and hedge funds in navigating rules governing political activity and government relationsRepresent clients before the Federal Election Commission , Department of Justice , congressional ethics committees , and state regulatory agenciesConduct compliance reviews and develop internal policies and proceduresProvide guidance on federal , state , and local ethics requirementsSupport clients in responding to investigations , audits , and enforcement actionsWhy Join Us?

Compensation & Benefits
