We have an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Assistant to work at our Murray clinic location. Pay Rate : $17 - $20 per hour.
Overview :
- Candidate will work closely with physicians and support staff to provide patient care including : telephone triage, insurance authorizations, recording of vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, etc.), administration of immunizations, phlebotomy, maintenance of exam rooms and filing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :
Medical Assistant Certification12 years of medical office experienceHigh school diploma or G.E.D. equivalentTyping skills : minimum of 40 words per minute (WPM)Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR / EHR) systems (e.g., Epic)Ability to document patient interactions accurately and efficientlyProficiency with email, scheduling software, and basic word processingAttention to detail with accurate data entry, critical for maintaining patient safety and HIPAA complianceExcellent customer service skills; able to communicate courteously and effectively with patientsDependable, flexible, and able to multitaskEnjoys working with people, being a team player, and willing to assist others with tasksProficient in reading, writing, and communicating in EnglishAble to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with physicians, clinic staff, and patientsAdditional languages are helpful but not requiredEssential Functions and Duties :
Record all demographic information necessary to contact patients and do prior authorization for medications and procedures.Prepare patients for exams and supply the provider with all relevant information (lab results, vital signs, medications, allergies).Communicate with patients regarding their appointment scheduling and other needs.Other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
