Accounts Payable Manager 9440
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead their Accounts Payables department.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle of the accounts payable process and Installer Payables including processing / approving / vendor payments
- Prepare and present weekly reports on the accounts payable status to senior management
- Prepare and submit monthly journal entries and account reconciliations in a timely manner
- Manage and motivate the accounts payable team to achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state and federal regulations related to accounts payable
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with all internal controls and accounting policies
- Ensure department milestones / goals and metrics are met
- Maintain and update vendor master metadata
- Periodically review master data including W-9 compliance, prepare 1099 reporting
- Assist with monthly business tax reporting and license administration
- Assist in month-end close and annual audit process
- Oversee all Accounts Payable staff
- Identify problem vendor accounts and resolve
- Identify and reconcile discrepancies
- Streamline processes to increase organizational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Five years of experience in accounts payable, including supervisory roles
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Manager
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to thoroughly research, analyze and reconcile company-wide financial documents
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred
- Experience using accounting software and / or ERP systems
- Experience managing a team of accounts payable professionals
- Ability to mentor / develop and influence a high performing team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
