Seeking Senior Buyer / Planner working with New Product Development , procuring electronic and mechanical components for assembly operation.

My client, voted Best Place to Work! - seeks an experienced Buyer / Planner able to improve the value stream of products through improved relationships between established suppliers and strategic partners.

This manufacturing operation is fast paced, constant new product development but a fun team atmosphere as everyone is working towards improving each other and fulfilling customer expectations.

Will work closely with operations, engineering, suppliers and customers in managing procurement, inventory and shipping of products, equipment, and services.

Position Responsibilities :

Analyze market trends, component availability, and pricing to help influence engineering design.

Develop contingency strategies for critical materials

Procure direct and indirect materials with respect to the highest quality, service, and lowest cost.

Manage multiple supplier relationships and contribute to consistent on-time delivery record.

Obtain quotes by contacting existing and potential suppliers.

Proactively communicate with internal customers regarding material status, changes, and delivery dates.

Qualifications :

Requirements : Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience.

7+ years experience purchasing components used to manufacture electronic products.

Strong communication, administrative and organizational skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple projects.

Analytical skills that can interpret large amounts of data

Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems.
