Material Planner

Material Planner Location :

• Durham, North Carolina, United States Employment Type :   Full-time Overview This position is responsible for ensuring a consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production based on demand.
• Duties and Responsibilities Plan the required materials and purchase quantities to fulfill demand of service line.
• Submit workorders.
• Utilize SAP, Excel and Microsoft Office 365.
• Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, etc.
• Track the shipping status and ensure the shipment will arrive on time.
• Schedule and oversee the supply and delivery of materials and products.
• Liaise with purchasing department, broker, carrier, etc. for the schedule, ETD, ETA of shipments.
• Manage materials issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
• Prepare reports accurately on a weekly basis.
• Act as warehouse coordinator to plan, schedule, coordinate and expedite material issue to the production floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
