The Senior Data Modeler will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data models and architecture to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This individual will have a strong background in data modeling, a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient data models for various data processing and analytics needs.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
• Optimize and tune data models to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Implement and manage data warehousing solutions on Microsoft Azure, leveraging services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and more.
• Conduct business analysis to understand and document business processes, workflows, and information needs.
• Translate business requirements into data requirements and technical specifications.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, schemas, and data flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and innovation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data modeling and Azure data services.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior data modelers and data engineers.

Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is $104,530.40 - $139,381.84. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 3%. NFI considers qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining pay.
